Apple will soon roll out the Sales Coach app, a rebranded version of its long-standing SEED platform. According to a source familiar with the matter, the updated application is set to launch on Monday, February 23, for iPhone and iPad users. It remains an internal resource exclusively for Apple Store and Apple Authorized Reseller employees worldwide.
The Sales Coach app retains the core purpose of its predecessor: delivering sales guidance and product training. Employees can access articles and videos covering topics such as reasons to upgrade to a newer iPhone or key features of the latest iPad models. However, this refresh introduces two significant enhancements—starting with a complete visual overhaul.
First, the app adopts Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language. This modern interface aligns with recent software updates across Apple’s ecosystem, offering improved clarity, depth, and usability. The redesign aims to make navigation more intuitive while keeping essential resources easily accessible during customer interactions.
Second, a forthcoming update will add an AI-powered chatbot. Once live, the feature will appear under the “Ask” tab within the Sales Coach app. Staff will be able to pose natural-language questions about Apple products and receive instant, accurate responses. For instance, they might ask about the iPhone Air’s standout capabilities or how Instant Hotspot functions on Mac devices.
It remains unclear whether this chatbot runs on Apple’s proprietary large language model or leverages a third-party platform. Regardless, its goal is clear: to equip frontline employees with real-time knowledge, reducing reliance on memorization and improving customer service consistency.
In addition to the mobile rollout, the Sales Coach app will also be available via the web at salescoach.apple.com. Like the mobile version, the website is strictly internal and not open to the public. Access requires valid Apple partner credentials.
This move reflects Apple’s broader effort to streamline employee training through digital tools. By integrating AI and modern design into daily workflows, the company seeks to enhance both staff confidence and customer experience. While the chatbot arrives in a later phase, the February 23 launch marks a meaningful evolution from the legacy SEED system.
